How We Work: A Flexible Project Model
The right people, the right facility and the right technical capability, assembled around each aircraft and each project.
Project-Assembled Engineering Capability
Pacific Aviation Engineering assembles the people, facilities, tooling and technical resources appropriate to each aircraft and project. This allows the engineering solution to be built around the operator's particular requirement, location and timeframe.
Whether supporting a scheduled turboprop check, an unscheduled field defect, or a lease return inspection, we assemble a dedicated engineering team with the specific type ratings, tooling, and approved documentation required for that exact aircraft.
Engineers assembled specifically with active type-ratings on your airframe and engine combination.
Engineering capability deployed to New Zealand and regional Pacific airfields where your aircraft is located.
“Assembling the right technical capability around each aircraft and project.”
By combining direct engineering management with Flagstaff Recruitment's vetted engineering workforce, we provide operators with responsive capability and direct personal accountability on every project.
Where aircraft maintenance is undertaken, work would normally be performed within the relevant aircraft operator's existing Part 145 approval, procedures and certification structure.
The 5-Step Project Lifecycle
From initial workscope assessment through to technical handover, our structured process ensures clear coordination, regulatory alignment, and predictable project timelines.
Understand & Scope the Requirement
We review the aircraft type, maintenance task, transition requirement, location, timeframe, and regulatory framework to establish a clear and achievable project scope.
- Review of task cards, workpackages, or lease return conditions
- Assessment of regulatory structure, tooling requirements, and parts lead times
- Definition of project milestones and commercial arrangements
Assemble the Engineering Team
Through our sister company Flagstaff Recruitment and established industry networks, we assemble appropriately qualified and licensed engineers matched to the specific airframe, powerplant, and workscope.
- Assembly of verified Category B1 and B2 licensed engineers
- Verification of licences, type ratings, and regulatory authorisations
- Appointment of an experienced project lead personally responsible for delivery
Arrange Facilities, Tooling & Equipment
We arrange appropriate hangar or facility access, specialist tooling, ground equipment, and project consumables tailored specifically for the duration of the input.
- Arranging appropriate facility or airfield access at the project location
- Sourcing and mobilisation of project-specific tooling and calibration test sets
- Procurement and pre-positioning of required consumables and parts
Manage & Deliver the Workscope
Our project leads coordinate and oversee work execution on-site, maintaining rigorous quality standards and full alignment with the operator’s Part 145 procedures and maintenance exposition.
- Disciplined execution against approved task cards and maintenance data
- Daily progress tracking and proactive coordination of non-routine items
- Direct communication between operator management and our project lead
Complete Project & Finalise Records
We complete all workpackage documentation, task-card sign-offs, and component traceability records to ensure clean technical handover and support the operator’s release to service.
- Thorough review of completed task cards and documentation packages
- Verification of component release forms and traceability records
- Handover of organized work records to operator technical management
