Engineering Services & Capability Groups
Comprehensive technical management, contract aircraft maintenance, transition projects, and specialist workforce delivery for Pacific operators and asset owners.
Structured for Complex Aircraft Requirements
We divide our engineering operations into three complementary pillars, allowing operators to engage us for single critical inputs or comprehensive long-term technical support.
Aircraft Maintenance & AOG
Project-assembled maintenance support, unscheduled defect rectification, and responsive AOG engineering mobilisation across regional and Pacific airfields.
Aircraft Projects & Transitions
Technical management and on-site engineering support for aircraft transitions, lease returns, redeliveries, and modification programmes.
Technical Support & Workforce
Independent technical representation, maintenance planning, project-specific parts sourcing, and qualified engineering workforce access through Flagstaff Recruitment.
Service Specifications & Deliverables
Aircraft Maintenance Projects
Project-based aircraft maintenance organized around specific scheduled and unscheduled events.
AOG Support & Urgent Engineering Response
Rapid mobilisation of qualified engineers, diagnostic equipment, and tooling to support grounded aircraft.
Aircraft Transitions & Lease Returns
Technical representation, records auditing, and project management for aircraft deliveries, handovers, and lease returns.
Modifications & Technical Projects
Project planning and engineering support for aircraft modifications and fleet upgrade programmes.
Technical Oversight & Project Representation
Independent on-site technical representation and project oversight for aircraft owners, lessors, and operators.
Aviation Engineering Workforce Capability
Access to qualified, type-rated licensed engineers and aviation technical personnel through sister company Flagstaff Recruitment.
Project-Specific Parts Sourcing & Logistics
Targeted sourcing of components, consumables, tooling, and specialist equipment required for active projects and AOG needs.
Aircraft Maintenance Projects
We organize and deliver project-based aircraft maintenance for regional operators, owners, and lessors. Pacific Aviation Engineering assembles type-rated licensed aircraft maintenance engineers (LAMEs), project-specific tooling, and suitable facility space for the duration of the maintenance input.
Scope of Engineering Work
- •Scheduled calendar, phase, and hourly maintenance inputs
- •Unscheduled defect troubleshooting and rectification
- •Project-specific tooling, equipment, and consumables coordination
- •Assembly of type-rated Category B1 and B2 licensed engineers
- •Work executed within the operator’s approved maintenance procedures
Technical Deliverables & Certification
- Execution of agreed maintenance workpackages and task cards
- Regular progress reporting against critical-path milestones
- Collation of technical records and work completion documentation to support operator release
ATR 42/72 series, Dash 8 / Q-Series, DHC-6 Twin Otter, Beechcraft King Air, and related regional turboprops.
Typical Project Requirements
Examples of the types of engineering requirements Pacific Aviation Engineering is designed to support.
Regional Turboprop Scheduled Maintenance Input
Operator requiring a dedicated scheduled maintenance check or structural inspection without incurring lengthy wait times at distant overseas facilities.
Assemble an appropriately rated B1/B2 engineering team, coordinate required tooling and facility space, and execute the workscope under the operator’s Part 145 framework.
Completion of the agreed workpackage with direct communication and structured project oversight throughout the maintenance input.
Unscheduled Defect Rectification & Field AOG Support
Aircraft grounded away from home base with an unscheduled defect requiring qualified engineering intervention and diagnostic tooling.
Rapidly assemble and mobilise appropriately licensed engineers and diagnostic equipment from New Zealand or regional centres to perform on-site troubleshooting.
Defect rectification and technical documentation prepared to support the operator in returning the aircraft to service.
Aircraft Lease Transition & Redelivery Survey
End-of-lease redelivery requiring independent technical records review, physical condition inspection, and discrepancy management.
Provide independent on-site technical representation to review maintenance records, inspect physical aircraft condition, and liaise with the outgoing operator and lessor.
Structured inspection report, discrepancy tracking, and asset records verified against lease redelivery conditions.
